Exploring Beethoven
HCO ends their season out and about in different venues by bringing
the master himself, Ludwig van Beethoven, to Wickham Community Centre.
Beethoven unpacked, revealed, undressed – you name it, our fantastic
Music Director, Robin Browning, explains why Beethoven is the icon he is
and why he still has this status even in the 250th anniversary year of his birth.
The dramatic overture “Coriolan” will open the programme.
Then Robin will take HCO – and you! – on an exploration
of the great master’s “Pastoral” Symphony, illustrated
by orchestral excerpts and concluding with a full performance.
