Take a trip to Prague with the Havant Chamber Orchestra!

Our concert features the Symphony No 38 by Mozart which had its premier in the city in 1787.  We pair it with the music of one of the most famous Czech composers, born near Prague some 44 years later, Antonin Dvořák.

Our soloist is young violinist Rose Hsien who has performed in major concert halls around the world, including the Dvořák Hall of the famous Rudolfinum in Prague!  She will play both a Concerto (No 3) by Mozart and the delightful Romance for Violin and Orchestra by Dvořák.

We open the concert with the Czech Suite in D by Dvořák, the five movements of which include some typical Czech music such as a ‘furiant’ – a fiery Bohemian dance.
